The Sony WH-1000XM5 headphones are widely recognized as some of the best headphones in the market. They come with great active noise canceling, excellent audio quality, an outstanding microphone, and great features like Bluetooth multipoint and Find My Device support. Our battery tests also showed the headphones can last over 31 hours on a single charge, with ANC on, or over 53 hours with ANC disabled.

While all that is great, not everyone needs the latest and greatest. In fact, we usually recommend saving more on the Sony WH-1000XM4, the previous-generation headset. These are still amazing headphones, and you can save $80 in this case. Sound and ANC quality is nearly as good. In fact, many of you might have a hard time distinguishing the difference. You still get Bluetooth multipoint and other great features. Battery life is nearly as good, too, yielding about 30 hours with ANC on. We’d honestly say this is the better deal, both because it is normally cheaper, and because the discount this time around is also more significant.

Which Amazon Echo speaker should you get?

Figuring out which Amazon Echo speaker to get can be a bit confusing. Should you go for the cheapest, the Echo Pop, or are you better off investing in one of the higher-end versions? Of course, all can handle Alexa questions and commands and control your smart home. So, why would you pay more? Let’s go over which users should get each speaker.

The Echo Pop is obviously the most basic speaker, but it isn’t bad. It is very small and good-looking. There’s still has a small notification light, and the 1.95-inch speaker will sound great if you’re close enough to it. It will find a great home in a small room, a desk, or a small kitchen corner. And if you use an eero router, it can even turn into Wi-Fi mesh extender, just like all the other speakers here.

If you want a bit of an upgrade, the Amazon Echo Dot has a smaller 1.73-inch speaker, but it still sounds great in a small room or desk. The notification light goes all around the bottom of the device, and the look is a bit more unique, as it’s nearly a full sphere. You’ll also get some extra features, such as a motion detector and a temperature sensor. This will allow you to do things like automate lights to turn on when you walk into a room, or program the thermostat when the device detects certain temperatures.

If you want to go all out and get good sound, there’s the Amazon Echo. It has a larger 3-inch neodymium woofer and two 0.8-inch tweeters. This speaker also comes with all the features you get from the Echo Dot, including the temperature and motion detection sensors. It even looks like it, with the only difference being that it’s significantly more prominent. There is one upgrade, though: it comes with a 3.5mm jack, which can work as an input or output.

By the way, if you’re looking for a good smart display, you might also want to consider the Amazon Echo Show 5 and Amazon Echo Show 8. They are also discounted at Best Buy.

If you are invested in the Apple ecosystem, the AirPods Max headphones are the best Apple headphones you can get, and we can attest to the fact that they compete only against the best. In our Apple AirPods Max review, we praised the headset for its gorgeous design, solid build quality made with quality materials, and comfortable earpads.

The AirPods Max sound as good as they look, too. They have amazing active noise canceling, and sound quality is amazing, as well. Not to mention, spatial audio makes sound very immersive. And while Apple estimates battery life should be about 20 hours, in our tests the headphones exceeded our expectations, reaching about 21 hours on a single charge.

JLab JBuds Lux ANC headphones

There’s no need to spend hundreds of dollars on a good pair of headphones. The JLab JBuds Lux ANC are great, and the normal price is just $80. That is already a lot of value, but at $55, we really can’t recommend these enough. We gave the JLab JBuds Lux ANC a great review. In fact, they are our favorite inexpensive headphones of 2024.

These headphones focus on the fundamentals and ignore all the bells and whistles. The sound quality is great, considering the price, and you even get active noise canceling. Of course, the ANC on these won’t compete with the best, but the fact that it’s there is already pretty enticing. These cans are comfortable, too. Battery life is also pretty impressive. We put the JLab JBuds Lux ANC headphones through our standardized battery test and they lasted well over 44 hours!

JLab Epic Lab Edition earbuds

Here’s another great deal for those looking for a nice pair of true wireless earbuds. The JLab Epic Lab Edition are packed with great specs and features that compete with high-tier models. At $100, they are a total steal, especially considering how well they did in our JLab Epic Lab Edition earbuds review.

We found the sound quality to be pretty amazing, and there’s ANC baked into the equation. You’ll also get great features you usually find in more expensive earbuds. These include wireless charging and Bluetooth multipoint support. They are also very portable and nicely built. We recommended them at $200, but at $100, we say these are a no-brainer for someone searching for great true wireless earbuds, but would prefer not to spend on premium brand earbuds, which can cost up to $300.

It has pretty decent ANC, but the star of the show here is the bass. Some may deem it a bit excessive, but if you like bass, you will absolutely love the Sony ULT WEAR headphones.

Other cool features include 360 Reality Audio and touch controls. Its battery life is also insanely good. We pushed this model through our standardized battery test and it managed to stay alive for over 32 hours. Audio quality is also surprisingly good for headphones at this price point.

As ANC headphones, these headphones are amazing. We pointed out in our full Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones review that the large and dense earpads work as the first layer of noise reduction, offering great audio isolation. Additionally, the ANC system does a great job reducing most noises, even loud ones like bus engines, train screeches, and airplane whines. We found that these noises are reduced by 87%! You can also bring the sound back using passthrough mode if needed.

ANC aside, these are great headphones in every other department. The design is very nice, and the headset is very comfortable. These headphones also did great in our internal battery tests, lasting over 27 hours with ANC on. There’s also support for great features like Snapdragon Sound and aptX Lossless. The sound quality is also outstanding.

The $429 MSRP was our main complaint with the Bose QuietComfort Ultra Headphones, but at $349, these are looking much more enticing. If you want the best ANC available, go get these. Today is Prime Day’s last day, so you don’t have much time left!

We had very little to complain about in our Sony WH-1000XM5 review. Mainly the price, but that is somewhat alleviated by this offer. Otherwise, these headphones are as close to perfect as they get. It has excellent sound quality, outstanding active noise cancelation, and one of our favorite microphones.

I’ve had the chance to spend some hands-on time with the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro, and after comparing both models for a few days, I have to say I find the Buds 2 Pro to have a more comfortable and secure fit compared to the new Buds 3 Pro’s unique angular stem design. Additionally, while our full review is still forthcoming, our early testing results suggest that the Buds 2 Pro may actually outperform the newer model in Active Noise Cancellation, which matches up with my initial experience. At this price point, the Buds 2 Pro offers exceptional value, especially considering their strong performance against the newer model.

Between the Galaxy Buds3 Pro and the Galaxy Buds2 Pro, I think the latter are the better buys—especially at this price.

While the new Galaxy Buds 3 Pro brings some interesting features to the table, including integration with Galaxy Ai and new Blade Lights along the stem, based on my initial impressions, I would recommend the Buds 2 Pro might as the better choice for many users, especially at this discounted price. If you’re in the market for high-quality earbuds and don’t mind missing out on the latest features, the Galaxy Buds 2 Pro for less than $105 are an absolute steal. But act fast; I don’t know how long this deal will last!
