We are not a retailer, so no. You may see affiliate links in our reviews and other content, but in the event you buy something via that link, you are buying from that store.
If you're curious about audio and would like to know more about the science, history, or hows behind it all, be sure to check out our features and opinion section. This is where you want to go to see head-to-head product comparisons, off-the-wall experiments, and explanations of how your favorite gear works. We also have a whole vertical for how-tos so that you can learn the ins and outs of all things consumer audio. Whether you want to find new music, start a career in podcasting, or simply want to learn what distortion is, we've got you covered.
Yes, SoundGuys has a YouTube channel! Here we post reviews condensed into 5 minutes, features, explainers, and more. Be sure to subscribe to @SoundGuys if you're interested in following us.
SoundGuys uses their best judgment to cover products that will be the most relevant to the market, but we sometimes aren't able to get to everything (outside of our test robot, we're only human). We try to make sure we cover products that will be important to consumers first, but we do our best to cover the market at large. If we're missing a product that you believe we should be reviewing, feel free to reach out on our contact page. We make every effort to secure review devices with our own resources, but sometimes we receive loan units to review. We note where we sourced each sample at the beginning of the review.
SoundGuys tests the products it reviews in our testing lab, and with our editors' first-hand experiences. We want to make sure that anything we say can be backed up with evidence, and that we can give you useful information in the process. We also score the products we review based on our experiences and the previously mentioned lab results. We also invite readers who have experience with the products we review to add their own scores right next to ours. For comparison's sake, every headphone review with testing data has our independently validated target curve displayed.
