Helene Roumani is a project management consultant with extensive experience in the planning, implementation, and monitoring of urban and regional development programs.
She currently serves as a sustainable planning consultant for the City of Jerusalem on LAB – Local Action for Biodiversity, liaisoning between the City and international environmental organizations.
Born in Germany and raised in the US, Helene has been living in Israel for more than 30 years. She has held research and development positions with non-profit, governmental, as well as private organizations in Israel and the US. She also lectured at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, and contributed to numerous publications and master plan programs for urban revitalization, including parks, recreation, education and transportation plans, as well as environmental protection programs. Helene holds a BA in Sociology from Brooklyn College of the City University of New York, and an MA from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem.
She loves to travel and enjoys spending her free time exploring Jerusalem’s unique ancient and modern attractions.
Helene is mother of 3 and has 3 grandchildren.
